The BEST robot on Amazon!

My kit came with all the parts and during assembly, while testing each individual parts, like the servo, motors.... Arduino was working in most tests but not all. Amazon very quickly replaced the defective kit.
The kit is well design, I think it is the BEST robot on Amazon! They included few extra screw's, and I'm using them, since I dropped several of them! Instructions are also well done with test sketches (Arduino IDE calls programs Sketch). The Arduino IDE is free of charge and the instructions have detail steps how to install and and even troubleshooting is included!
The instructions include several versions of the robot Sketches to test the individual steps. For people who like to add functions and or other parts, this is a great buy! The infrared remote control is also very handy! I added a circular LED with 24 lights that are mounted on the front. See included pictures.

Great robotic kit for learning and exploration

What caught my eye were the wheels. The Mecanum wheels have an interesting history. They were developed in Sweden, but the US Navy bought the patent and then sold rights to use the patent years later. The maneuverability of the wheels were useful in tight locations like on ships. The kit is really a great project and learning tool for teenagers and adults. You really stick your fingers in all areas of robotics with this kit. The main processor is Arduino compatible so you use Arduino sketches (programs) to control the end device that is built. You have the ability to control the vehicle with IR or you can install an app on Android and control it with the phone via wifi. The pdf tutorials are really helpful in doing the building. You can also modify existing code or write you own. The only down side is that you need to get a couple of 18650 batteries, otherwise everything needed is in the box. I really like this kit.

Fun but had to reprogram to work

The process was fun and testing the wheels sketch worked fine but final sketch would not operate vehicle until I increased the wheel output by 250%.

Seemingly fun project, just took a bit to find all tutorials.

I'll start off by saying, so far this seems to be a project to where if you got a younger kiddo, they may need help.

When you got it, it'll be in a nicely packed box, with all materials (less batteries it seems, which it takes 2x 18650 rechargeable). Indie you'll have a card with a link to github, which will have the information you need in "trees" or "Depositories" specifically the "Tutorials" one. Download all of the zip folders though.

If you go through the tutorials, it'll have you download the arduino IDE. good software.

The tutorials will show you the theory, schematics and how to put it all together. Well thought out and exciting to see how it comes together.

I think the wheels are a cool concept, and the system is going to be awesome to put together. I will update review once I put it together.
